Wendy Katagi

Biography

Wendy Katagi is an inspirational singer and songwriter living in Los Angeles, California.  Her lyric soprano voice has thrilled audiences in theatres and churches across the globe ever since she started singing solos in her hometown church in Gardena, California.  Wendy's first album, "Rise in Hope Again", released in 2011, received tremendous response.  Her new "Spirit of Christmas" album was released in November 2013.  Both recording projects capture Wendy's love for God and His healing power, love of nature and restoration, and the beauty of the Christmas season. Tom  Zink, Grammy nominated arranger and keyboardist, produced both albums in collaboration with Wendy Katagi.  Wendy has led worship with the Vineyard at worship conferences in England, Scotland, and Austrailia and frequently leads worship for women's ministry events at her church and with Aglow International. A versatile artist, Wendy's musical style covers genres from Broadway to Opera to Christian Contemporary music.  Her early influences include Julie Andrews, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Sandi Patti, Bernadette Peters, and more recently, Josh Groban. She recently sang in Disney's World of Color - Winter Dreams Honor Choir performance of Eric Whitacre's "Glow" at California Adventure park.
